This Privacy Policy explains how Ocala Haul & Wash (“we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Ocala, Florida, collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information in connection with junk removal, hauling, pressure washing, our website, and related communications.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, telephone number, and email address.
- The service address, ZIP code, access instructions, and other location information needed to evaluate or perform the work.
- Descriptions of items, surfaces, load size, property conditions, requested dates and time windows, estimates, quotes, appointment status, and other request or reservation details.
- Photographs or videos you submit for estimates, job evaluation, customer comments, or—with separate permission—publication.
- Communications with us, customer comments, approvals, and records showing acceptance of our Terms and acknowledgment of this Policy.
- Payment status and transaction-related information received from a payment processor. We do not intentionally collect or store complete payment-card numbers through this website.
- Basic technical information generated by normal web requests, such as date and time, browser or device information, and security logs maintained by our hosting provider.
2. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and prepare preliminary or final quotes.
- Schedule, confirm, perform, and document services.
- Communicate about access, pricing, delays, payments, changes, cancellations, and customer support.
- Process and document agreements and maintain business, tax, accounting, safety, and dispute records.
- Protect the website, prevent spam or fraud, operate the administrator dashboard, and improve service quality.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Estimate photos are private by default
Submitting photographs or videos for an estimate does not authorize us to publish them in advertising, social media, testimonials, or our public gallery. Publication requires a separate affirmative authorization. Content submitted through the customer-comment feature is reviewed by an administrator before it can appear publicly.
4. Payments
If we provide a Square or Stripe payment link, payment information is entered on that processor’s website and is governed by its privacy practices. We may receive limited transaction information such as payment status, amount, date, and reference number. We do not represent that either processor is used for every transaction.
5. Cookies and site technologies
The site uses limited functional technologies rather than advertising trackers:
- Browser local storage remembers the selected language.
- Necessary session cookies support administrator security and the first-party comment CAPTCHA. The CAPTCHA is generated by our server and does not use an advertising CAPTCHA provider.
- The public service-area map uses Leaflet and map tiles supplied by OpenStreetMap. Loading those resources may disclose ordinary request information, including IP address and browser details, to those providers.
- The administrator app may use browser push notifications and a service worker. These are intended for the business administrator, not customer advertising.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising. If this changes materially, we will update this Policy.
6. When we share information
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with providers that help us operate, including Hostinger for web hosting and MySQL storage, payment processors selected for a transaction, map and content-delivery infrastructure, professional advisers, disposal facilities, recycling or donation organizations, and subcontractors or helpers necessary to perform an authorized job. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in a legitimate business transfer.
Ocala Haul & Wash does not ordinarily sell or rent customer personal information.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small local service business, including access controls, private storage for quote photos, HTTPS, restricted administrator functions, and security validation. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed completely secure.
8. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for quotes, service delivery, customer support, accounting, legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Retention varies by record type. Publicly authorized content may remain published until withdrawn or no longer useful; private quote photos are not made public merely because they are retained.
9. Access, correction, and deletion

10. Florida privacy law
We handle personal information under applicable Florida law, including the Florida Information Protection Act, section 501.171, Florida Statutes, where applicable. The Florida Digital Bill of Rights, sections 501.701–501.723, has specific applicability thresholds and exemptions; nothing here claims every provision applies to this small business. Where law grants additional applicable rights, we will honor them.
11. Children
Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy for operational, legal, or technology changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
